Safety Guidelines

Last updated: 1 August 2026

Your safety is our highest priority. Please read these guidelines before connecting with any travel partner you meet on FLYTINERARY.

Before You Meet

  • Review their full profile — check their Travel Score, Explorer Rank, reviews, and verified badge before agreeing to anything.
  • Use the in-app request system — never move to WhatsApp or other apps before you feel comfortable.
  • Video call first — a short video call through a platform of your choice can help confirm someone is who they say they are.
  • Tell someone — share your travel plans, your partner's name, and your itinerary with a trusted friend or family member before you meet.
  • Trust your gut — if something feels off, it probably is. You can decline any request with no explanation required.

Protecting Your Personal Information

  • Never share your home address, passport number, or bank details with travel partners.
  • Be cautious sharing your phone number early — use in-app messaging until you're comfortable.
  • FLYTINERARY will NEVER ask for your password by email, phone, or in-app message.
  • Do not click links from other users that ask you to log in or verify your identity.

Safe Travel Practices

  • Book your own accommodation independently — never send money to a travel partner for accommodation bookings.
  • Keep your own copies of all travel documents.
  • Have an emergency exit plan — know how to get home independently if plans change.
  • In a new country, locate the nearest embassy or consulate for your nationality.
  • Keep emergency contacts saved offline on your phone.

Communication Preferences

FLYTINERARY enforces the communication preferences you set during onboarding. If you've set "Women only", only users who have identified as female can send you a join request. These settings can be updated at any time from your profile.

If you are a woman and receive an unwanted message or request from a male-identified account, please report it immediately using the flag icon on their profile.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • Requests for money — legitimate travel partners never ask you to send money.
  • Pressure to move off-platform quickly.
  • Vague or inconsistent answers about their travel history.
  • Profiles with no photo, no travel score, or a very new account.
  • Requests that feel personal or romantic too quickly.
  • Anyone claiming to be FLYTINERARY staff asking for your login details.

Reporting & Blocking

You can block or report any user from their profile page. Reported profiles are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within 24 hours. Serious reports (assault, fraud, threats) are escalated within 2 hours.

For urgent safety concerns, always contact local emergency services (100 in India) first, then report to us at safety@FLYTINERARY.app.

Women Traveling Alone

FLYTINERARY has specific safety features for solo female travelers:

  • Communication lock — restrict join requests to verified female users only.
  • Trust Score — our AI weighs review history, trip completion, and community standing.
  • Women-verified badge — coming soon for community-verified female travelers.
  • Safety check-in — coming soon: an optional "I'm safe" check-in nudge when you arrive.
